This is the privacy policy for Co-op Survive — the cooperative 2D horror survival game and its marketing site. We try to keep this short and honest. If anything is unclear, write to us at contact@coopsurvive.com.
What we collect
We collect the smallest amount of information needed to run the game and the website. That falls into three buckets.
- What you send us. If you fill out the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
- What your browser sends automatically. Standard server logs include your IP address, user agent (browser/OS), and the page you requested. These logs help us debug, fight abuse, and understand which pages get used.
- What the game session needs. While playing, basic gameplay telemetry (lobby identifier, wave selection, in-match events) is processed so the game can run. This is not tied to a marketing profile.
How we use it
We use the information above to:
- Reply to messages you send us.
- Run the game session in your browser and keep squads in sync.
- Keep the site online, fast, and free of abuse.
- Understand, in aggregate, which pages and features are working.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opted in, and there is no opt-in flow on this site at the time of writing.
Cookies
The site uses a minimal set of cookies and similar storage:
- Strictly necessary — required for the page to load and for forms to submit safely. These cannot be turned off without breaking the site.
- Preference — small flags such as remembering whether the menu is open. Local to your browser.
We do not run third-party advertising cookies on this site.
Third-party services
A few external services help the site run. Each receives only the data it needs.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces (Unbounded, Inter, JetBrains Mono).
- Hosting and CDN providers deliver pages and assets and may keep short-lived access logs for security and performance.
- Game infrastructure handles real-time multiplayer for in-match sessions.
Where the open-source Suroi engine is involved, the source is public and the relevant practices can be audited there directly.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To do so, write to contact@coopsurvive.com with enough context that we can identify the relevant records. Depending on where you live, local data-protection law may give you additional rights — we will respect them.
Children
Co-op Survive is built for a teenage and adult audience. The game has horror themes. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the age set by your local data-protection law. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of the page and, where the change is material, we will note it on the home page. Old versions are kept on request.
Contact
Questions, requests, or push-back on anything in this policy go to contact@coopsurvive.com. We read every message.
